I am not the best in the world at any one thing.

I have run the commercial side of a business and carried the number. I have designed products and built them. I have founded, cofounded, hired and shipped. None of that makes me the deepest engineer or the sharpest designer in any room.

What it makes me is the person who can hold the whole thing at once. The founder's why, the customer's moment, the interface, the model, the build, and what it costs. There is no handoff, so nothing gets lost in one.

I ask why until it reaches the bottom. Not to be difficult: the surface request and the actual problem are different objects about half the time.
